Why Entrepreneurs Need a Business Community

There’s a saying - I’m sure you’ve heard it - and it goes like this: It takes a village. Yes, the other half of that sentence usually applies to raising a family, but I’m talking about growing a business.

It takes a village to grow a business.

As a business owner, I am here to tell you, I didn’t get to where I am today alone. Sure, I leaned on my non-business friends, loved ones in the early days, especially for moral support. But I became acutely aware that while my friends and loved ones cared and wanted to see me succeed, they weren’t able to help me - like really help me because they didn’t understand the small things that were really important. They had a positive attitude, but couldn’t answer my questions about growing my reach. They were supportive, but they couldn’t keep me accountable to myself. They could listen to me, but couldn’t offer me advice about where to scale.

So I did what anyone in my position does… I searched for a business community that I could fit into for support. My first real experience was a business networking group. In this group I met some of the most important mentors I could ever ask for. They were so impactful on my life that they ended up being at my wedding!

It was such a different experience than asking those close to me for help and support. I found myself in a community of other business owners who shared their knowledge, gave me ideas to reach the next step of my business, and they kept me accountable. I felt like I had tapped into a secret world where I suddenly had people who understood me and what it truly meant to own a business.

But of course, as your personal brand bestie, I knew pretty early on that while this business network was amazing, and the support I found was undeniable, deep down, I needed something more.

I searched for a business community that I could fit into, and while it was something that I saw the value in, it wasn’t the right people for me and didn’t have everything that I wanted my community to have.

Something that was more aligned with my core business values, and catered to my soulmate clients needs too.

So naturally, I started my own. As part of my own personality and values, I’ve learned that if there isn’t something there for you that you need, then you need to build it yourself for those who might need it too. I built a community of like-minded people, at similar places in their businesses, with similar issues, goals, and needs.

The Soulmate Client Society Community is where it’s at for all your personal branding and business-owning needs.

What is this Soulmate Client Society Community?

If you haven’t guessed, I like to think of the SCS Community as a group of people in a similar business situation who are looking for support, community, education, improvement, accountability, and growth.

No, it isn’t a class - though we have webinars to learn things. It isn’t an “event” or a social gathering - although, I love my SCS business community and they are my chosen business family <3 - it’s very much a focused work group where entrepreneurs can find a safe space to help navigate their business all while still getting coaching and guidance from someone who can help you on your journey.

My SCS business community is a little different than others, because I’ve tailored it to how I run my business, my values, and my soulmate clients.

Why? Because community is important, and having a group of like-valued individuals takes away a lot of the stress and hesitation others might feel when sharing the challenges they face within their business.

How does the SCS business community work

Just like how finding a business community helped me navigate and grow my business, the SCS business community, aka “The Soulmate Client Society”, is no different.

The SCS business community has some light group coaching, accountability and direct access to my brain, but that’s not the biggest value you get from it. It really is a place for business owners to work through challenges within their business with a group of like-valued individuals.

We meet the first and third Wednesday of the month in a virtual space - with a specific flow to each meeting. It is both structured and led by what is needed by the group. Then there’s a community forum (currently on Facebook) that you can get further insight and feedback from members.

Yep, you read that right. To continue the conversation, and forge deeper bonds of community, the SCS business community has a group forum where members can ask questions, seek extra support, talk through challenges, and build lasting relationships. And they really have as evident by some of my members going on to their THIRD year in the community.

What sets the SCS Business Community apart?

I often get asked what makes the SCS Community different from other business community groups, and the truth is… it’s a group of people who didn’t fit anywhere else and they finally get the chance to feel seen for them. It’s not a cookie cutter community, it’s a place to be yourself and create INTERDEPENDANCE. Where you are coming with your zone of genius and others help you with theirs.

Community, I have learned, is where the supportive growth part comes in.  Because the group is tight knit, our attendance rate is higher, which means that we get to know each other a lot better. We are invested in each other’s successes, trust and value each other’s opinions, and are unafraid of asking questions or sharing experiences.

I’m biased, of course, because this group of people resonate so deeply with my own interests, but I am also very aware that I created this space with purpose and intention. My SCS business community is a safe space for business owners, filled with familiar faces.

I definitely aim for this community to have it improve with myself and its members. I’m constantly looking for ways to better this space while still sticking the core values it was built on. I expect my people to continue to learn and grow so I do the same in my own journey and bring that back to this group.

Why do entrepreneurs need a business community?

Being a business owner, especially a solo one, can be isolating; it can be tough. It isn’t for everyone. But if it is the path you are on (congrats!), then being part of a business community is going to be instrumental in helping you navigate the steep learning curve and the unique challenges of business ownership. It will introduce you to new people, who like you, are trying to find your way.

A business community will give you a safe space to ask your questions, learn, and grow. It will give you a community of people you can rely on. Who, if you have found the right community, will become a valuable resource and part of your business growth.

In the SCS business community, we look out for each other. We encourage each other. We push each other to be our best selves, find our soulmate clients, and serve them with unrivalled love. We help each other realign our mindset when things get tough.

As entrepreneurs, our success depends on the people we surround ourselves with. Because, like I said before, it takes a village.

My village is the SCS business community, and if you’re someone who is ready to find their soulmate clients - those clients that feel right, then reach out. I do also have a mastermind upgrade option for those looking for a more in depth and advanced experience.

We’d love to have you! Join us here.
